Bringing More Public ART to Elkton
It was unanimous! The Town of Elkton voted in favor of parking meter art installations!
Adding to the attractions that the Elkton Arts & Entertainment district already has to offer, parking meters are getting a face-lift! Artists will transfer designs created by local children and organizations from paper templates onto parking meters. If you have to pay to rent a parking spot, it should at least be fun to put your quarter in! Another unique way that Elkton is bringing color and art into downtown!
Interested in designing a parking meter? You can print out one of the meter templates below, design it and email your finished template to firstname.lastname@example.org or bring it to the arts council by May 15, 4:00 p.m. The templates will be evaluated and picked by a committee for creation and completion.
