Cecil County Arts Council's 2nd Annual
6x6 Canvas Show
Have you turned in your canvas? Get those canvases back to the arts council soon. The unveiling for the 2nd Annual 6x6 Canvas Fundraiser will be Friday, October 6, 5:00 p.m. All canvases MUST be turned in by end of day, Monday, October 2.
The cost to purchase a finished canvas is $20.00 and the name of the artist will be on the back!
Minihane's 2nd Annual Art Festival
This year's festival will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Live music outdoors, all day. There will be children's activities including a bouncy house, bookmobile, karaoke, face painting, dunk tank and more!

Cecil Cares 2017
September 23, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m
The Cecil County Arts Council, the Historical Society of Cecil County, Cecil Land Trust and CASA of Cecil County are working together with plans to build a shed; power wash the ramp and parking lot; planting evergreens; weed removal and mulching. 20 Volunteers, 18 years and over, are needed. If you have hammers, gloves, drills or saws please bring them with you. Go to:

Material and supplies are needed to construct the 6' x 10' Utility Building. Donations of galvanized nails, pressure treated wood for floor joist and skids, roofing, siding, trim and hardware. If you are able to donate any of these construction materials, call the arts council at 410-392-5740 or CASA at 410-996-3025. We can email you the materials list. Rain date will be September 30.
New Yoga Classes Starting at CCAC on
Wednesday, September 13!
Starting next week you can join Courtney Cronis on Wednesday nights for a one hour yoga session.
Class will start at 7:00 p.m.
Suitable for all levels of experience.

Join the poets every first and third Tuesday of the month. Entertaining and always clever, these "word wizards" are worth a listen. Lunchlines meets at noon in the bright, cheery gallery for about an hour. Bring your lunch and enjoy! All ages are welcome and participation is free for all CCAC members.
Children's Art Lessons
Tully Lane, an art studio for kids, is offering children's art lessons for ages 5 through 10 with Lisa McKeown Dolor. Tully Lane is a beautifully situated art studio in Fair Hill that provides a nurturing environment to promote creativity, discovery and independent thinking.
Four week sessions are $48 and space is limited.

Artists In Action
Bring your supplies and join artists in the gallery to paint, draw, or sculpt the day away. Beginners and professionals meet to work on projects, and to share tips and tricks. You never know who will set up in the gallery! All ages and skill levels are welcome. Always FREE, come in every Wednesday from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm and spend the day with the CCAC.

Drawing Dogs & Cats with Jen Roth
Jen will give step-by-step instructions on how to draw dogs and cats in a two-part series. Anyone ages 8 and up can participate. The cost is $30 for both classes and supplies are included.

CCAC’s Adult Watercolor Card Workshop with Jen Roth

Cecil County Arts Council's Annual Juried Show
Call for Entries
Drop-off your latest and greatest works from Friday, September 22 - Monday, October 2 for CCAC's Annual Juried Show. Entry fee for is $10.00 per piece, (max of 3) and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! Drop-off to the arts council during our regular business hours, Monday - Friday.
You can join us for the opening reception on Friday, October 6 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Everyone will be able to select which piece you would have chosen for “Best in Show” award. Enjoy light refreshments and a live musical performance by Day Tripper while viewing the best of the best art works.

The Cecil County Arts Council is open Monday through Friday, 10 am-4 pm, and the first Saturday from 10 am-2 pm (unless closed due to holiday). The Arts Council acts as a clearinghouse for information on the arts in Cecil County. Now in its 40th year, the Arts Council is a non-profit organization, dedicated to “presenting, promoting and sustaining the arts in Cecil County”.
Supported by funding from the state, county, individual contributions, and sponsorship, the Arts Council is also a membership organization! We would love to include you as a member of this wonderful group of people!
At venues all throughout Cecil County, the Arts Council provides opportunities for the residents of our community to experience art events such as free concerts along the waterfront, exhibitions, workshops, classes and much more!
The Arts Council also provides grant and scholarship opportunities to community residents, organizations and schools. Each year, the Arts Council offers over $34,000 in sub-grants and scholarships to applicants.
