CCAC Call For Entries
Drop-Off for February's exhibition, “Black & White & Read All Over”, will run from January 22 - 31. All media is welcome and you can drop off during our regular business hours.
We also are exited to add CCAC's Lunchline's Poetry Group and all literary artists to the show.
Paint Your Pet with Kennett Design will happen once a month at CCAC starting in January.
You will have a chance to paint your believed pet on any
second Saturday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Upon registration, submit a color head shot of your pet to email@example.com. They will create and outline sketch on a 12x12 canvas and prepare a color palette that matches the photo of your pet. Some prior painting experience is helpful, but not neccessary.

You can join Courtney Cronis on Wednesday nights for a one hour yoga session. Class will start at 5:30 p.m.
Suitable for all levels of experience.

Join the poets every first and third Tuesday of the month. Entertaining and always clever, these "word wizards" are worth a listen. Lunchlines meets at noon in the bright, cheery gallery for about an hour. Bring your lunch and enjoy! All ages are welcome and participation is free for all CCAC members.
Artists In Action
Bring your supplies and join artists in the gallery to paint, draw, or sculpt the day away. Beginners and professionals meet to work on projects, and to share tips and tricks. You never know who will set up in the gallery! All ages and skill levels are welcome. Always FREE, come in every Wednesday from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm and spend the day with the CCAC.

Wine and Dine for the Arts 2018
Now in it's 8th year, the arts council will partner with local restaurants for the annual Wine & Dine dinner series. Enjoy a multi-course meal with wine/beer pairings with great food, entertainment, company and art!

CCAC's Opening Reception
Opening Reception for the group exhibiton,“It’s Not All Skunks & Zebras” with John Dixon, Jen Fox, William Scarbourgh & Students will be held Friday, February 2, 2018, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
The Partner Show, "Black & White & Read All Over" will hang in conjunction in the back gallery.
There will be light refreshments and Chad Racine will provide the music for the evening. As always, this is a free and family friendly event. CCAC is accessible to persons with disabilities.
In a joint venture with the Cecil County Public Library, the arts council will have an alternate location for artists to be able to hang and sell their work. Gallery 301 will open later in December with a reception honoring the first artist ever to hang work in the brand-new gallery space.
John Dixon will have nearly 30 photographs on display,
many of which were taken in Cecil County. Keep an eye on our website and on our Facebook page for details on the opening reception.

Children's Art Lessons
Tully Lane, an art studio for kids, is offering children's art lessons for ages 5 through 10 with Lisa McKeown Dolor. Tully Lane is a beautifully situated art studio in Fair Hill that provides a nurturing environment to promote creativity, discovery and independent thinking.
Four week sessions are $48 and space is limited.

The Cecil County Arts Council is open Monday through Friday, 10 am-4 pm, and the first Saturday from 10 am-2 pm (unless closed due to holiday). The Arts Council acts as a clearinghouse for information on the arts in Cecil County. Now in its 40th year, the Arts Council is a non-profit organization, dedicated to “presenting, promoting and sustaining the arts in Cecil County”.
Supported by funding from the state, county, individual contributions, and sponsorship, the Arts Council is also a membership organization! We would love to include you as a member of this wonderful group of people!
At venues all throughout Cecil County, the Arts Council provides opportunities for the residents of our community to experience art events such as free concerts along the waterfront, exhibitions, workshops, classes and much more!
The Arts Council also provides grant and scholarship opportunities to community residents, organizations and schools. Each year, the Arts Council offers over $34,000 in sub-grants and scholarships to applicants.
