Join CCAC during Elkton's First Friday Art Loop for the opening reception of the Annual Members Show and Joe Zurolo's Solo Exhibition, "Spirit of Aloha". There will be music and refreshments provided. The annual members meeting will be held during the reception. This is a free and family friendly event.
As always, the arts council is accessible to all.
Kids of all ages can also enjoy, "Jump for June" activies in downtown Elkton during the Art Loop. Puppeteer, Jack Foreaker will be performing, and there will be a moon bounce and crafts for the kids!

CCAC's Membership show highlights our members! This exhibition is open to all medium's. Drop-off will begin on Wednesday, May 26 and goes through Wednesday, June 5. You can drop-off during our regular business hours. There is no theme, we want to see your latest and greatest art.
Have work you want to show off and you are not a member? No problem, you can join the arts council today! You can join online by following the link above under the membership tab, or just stop by the arts council.

Paint your Pet with Kennett Designs, Pete Hoffman
Saturday, June 22, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
You can paint your own pet with Pete at the arts council! Cost is just $50.00 per person. You must submit a color head shot of your pet to firstname.lastname@example.org upon registration and include your name. Kennett design will than create an outline sketch on a 12x12 canvas and prepare a color palette that matches the photo provided for your painting. Registration is reguired, go to: kdpaintparty.com/event-registration/?ee=3567, please register by June 17. Some prior painting experience is helpful, but not necessary. Feel free to bring a beverage and snack to enjoy while you paint.
In a joint venture with the main office of the Cecil County Public Library, the arts council has an additional location for our artists to hang (and sell) their work! “Gallery 301” is located at the Elkton Library branch and they welcome artists to rotate shows on the walls of CCPL! Currently on display is work from Jennifer Lex Wojnar. With more than 900 visitors, each day, the library is an excellent venue for your work to be seen and to be sold. Sales will be handled the same as they are at the gallery. If you are interested in being featured at the library, let us know.
CCAC is Hiring Models
Multiple models are needed ($30 stipend) for
Friday's CCAC Portrait Study sessions.
Multiple models over 18 years of age ($40 stipend) are needed for Saturday's Figure Drawing sessions.

Portrait Study Sessions at CCAC
Every Friday 1:30- 3:30 p.m.
Portrait Study sessions take place on the 2nd floor of the arts council every Friday. Enhance your skills with a live model each week. Bring your art supplies, the arts council will provide tables, chairs and easels (limited quantity).
Cost is only $5.00 per person.
Figure Drawing Sessions at CCAC
Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
You can join CCAC's Figure Drawing group every week on the 2nd floor gallery. All skill levels welcome, just bring your art supplies with you. All participants must be 18 years or older. Cost is only $5.00 per person. *There will be no class on Saturday, May 25 due to the holiday weekend.

Did you know that the Cecil County Arts Council ...
The Cecil County Arts Council is open Monday through Friday, 10 am-4 pm, and the first Saturday from 10 am-2 pm (unless closed due to holiday or inclement weather). The Arts Council acts as a clearinghouse for information on the arts in Cecil County. Now in its 41st year, the Arts Council is a non-profit organization, dedicated to “presenting, promoting and sustaining the arts in Cecil County”.
Supported, in part, by funding from the state, county, individual contributions, and sponsorship, the Arts Council is also a membership organization! We would love to include you as a member of this wonderful group of people!
At venues all throughout Cecil County, the Arts Council provides opportunities for the residents of our community to experience art events such as free concerts along the waterfront, exhibitions, workshops, classes and much more!
The Arts Council also provides grant and scholarship opportunities to community residents, organizations and schools. Each year, the Arts Council offers over $34,000 in sub-grants and scholarships to applicants.

Paint Pouring with Kennett Design's, Gina Dell
Friday, June 14, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Interested in creating abstract art and trying a new technique? Join Gina for a "Paint Pouring" class. Create your on an 11x14 canvas, no prior experience required. Cost is just $40 per person and includes materials and step by step instruction. You can bring your own drink/snack to enjoy while painting. Alcohol Ink on Tile
with Jennifer Lex Wojnar at CCAC
Monday, June 17, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Jen will be back at the arts council to demonstrate using alcohol inks on tile. Cost is just $30.00 per person. Each student will recieve 2 tiles and all supplies are included in the price. Jen will show you techniques to make a landscape scene, or you can create your own abstract design with the techniques you learn.. All supplies are included, you can bring a lunch and drink with you to enjoy while painting. No experience is needed, registration is required. Come paint and design your very own gourd birdhouse with Jen! You can choose from the many stencils available to you, or you can free hand any design you like. Music in the Park Concert Series 2020
Our Summer Music in the Park Concert Series will be held in 2 different locations! Each concert will be held on Sundays, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
These are free concerts and are open to the public. Every dollar we collect in our donation jar goes towards our Scholarship Fund. The scholarships are available to all Cecil County residents who are full time in an art program. Our goal is to have a record-breaking year of donations so we can give away a record amount of scholarships for the 2020 school year!

Yoga at CCAC with Shay Robb
You have a chance to join Shay two times a week at the arts council for one hour yoga sessions.
Just $7.00 drop-in.

Artists In Action
Bring your supplies and join artists in the gallery to paint, draw, or sculpt the day away. Beginners and professionals meet to work on projects, and to share tips and tricks. You never know who will set up in the gallery! All ages and skill levels are welcome. Always FREE, come in every Wednesday from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm and spend the day with the CCAC.
Join the poets every first and third Tuesday of the month. Entertaining and always clever, these "word wizards" are worth a listen. Lunchlines meets at noon in the bright, cheery gallery for about an hour. Bring your lunch and enjoy! All ages are welcome and participation is free for all CCAC members.
Children's Art Lessons
Tully Lane, an art studio for kids, is offering children's art lessons for ages 5 through 10 with Lisa McKeown Dolor. Tully Lane is a beautifully situated art studio in Fair Hill that provides a nurturing environment to promote creativity, discovery and independent thinking.
Four week sessions are $48 and space is limited.
