The Cecil County Arts Council is open Monday through Friday, 10 am-4 pm, and the first Saturday from 10 am-2 pm (unless closed due to holiday). The Arts Council acts as a clearinghouse for information on the arts in Cecil County. Now in its 40th year, the Arts Council is a non-profit organization, dedicated to “presenting, promoting and sustaining the arts in Cecil County”.
Supported by funding from the state, county, individual contributions, and sponsorship, the Arts Council is also a membership organization! We would love to include you as a member of this wonderful group of people!
At venues all throughout Cecil County, the Arts Council provides opportunities for the residents of our community to experience art events such as free concerts along the waterfront, exhibitions, workshops, classes and much more!
The Arts Council also provides grant and scholarship opportunities to community residents, organizations and schools. Each year, the Arts Council offers over $20,000 in sub-grants and scholarships to applicants.

Open Studio Tour 2017
The Open Studio Tour is growing up! CCAC is teaming with established studio tour marketers, presenters and promoters to help breathe new life into the studio tour. We will be changing branding and marketing to include signage, banners, an upscale booklet, postcards, thank you cards and more.
What began in Chester County (PA) in 2006, the studio tour went from a single artist and studio, to 53 studios and 127 participating artists. The growth rate since 2011: artist sales went up 16%; attendance grew by 24%; artist participation increased 27% and online sales jumped up 51%.
The marketing will include over 3,000 catalogs featuring and highlighting participating studios, artists and their works. There will be local and regional coverage including press releases, posters and postcards. Each studio will receive a banner and up to a dozen signs showing the public that they are participating in the juried event.
The application fee is $400 per studio. Each studio is welcome to invite a guest artist whose fee would be $250, each. As an incentive, each studio that hosts a guest artist will receive a $75 credit.
We will be holding a question and answer session at the end of February. The applications will be available online with detailed instructions on how to submit images.
Please let us know if you have an interest in participating in a high-end, juried, studio tour. Applications will be due in April and the tour would move to the second weekend in September.
Inaugural 6x6 Canvas Show
