CCAC's Drawing Dogs & Cats with Jen Roth
4 Part Mini Sessions
Join instructor, Jen Roth, who will teach step by step instructions on how to draw dogs and cats.
The 4-session class is open to those 8 years and up and the fee is $45.00. No experience necessary and all materials are provided. Class starts promptly at 5:30, please arrive 15 minutes early.

Cecil Cares 2017
The Cecil County Arts Council, the Historical Society of Cecil County, Cecil Land Trust and CASA of Cecil County are working together with plans to build a shed; power wash the ramp and parking lot; planting evergreens; weed removal and mulching. 20 Volunteers, 18 years and over, are needed on September 23. 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. If you have hammers, gloves, drills or saws please bring them with you. Material and supplies are needed to construct the 6' x 10' Utility Building. Donations of galvanized nails, pressure treated wood for floor joist and skids, roofing, siding, trim and hardware. If you are able to donate any of these construction materials, call the arts council at 410-392-5740 or CASA at 410-996-3025. We can email you the materials list. Rain date will be September 30.
Minihane's 2nd Annual Art Festival
Call for Entries
This year's festival will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Live music outdoors, all day. There will be children's activities including a bouncy house, bookmobile, karaoke, face painting, dunk tank and more!
If you are interested in participating in Artist's Alley, please RSVP to CCAC at 410-392-5740. There will be NO artist table fee and Minihane's will not collect a commission from your sales!!

Children's Art Lessons
Tully Lane, an art studio for kids, is offering children's art lessons for ages 5 through 10 with Lisa McKeown Dolor. Tully Lane is a beautifully situated art studio in Fair Hill that provides a nurturing environment to promote creativity, discovery and independent thinking.
Four week sessions are $48 and space is limited.

Chalk the Walks 2017
Elkton's 2nd Annual Chalk the Walks Event will be held on Tuesday, August 22, from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., right in Downtown Elkton.
Spread joy, optimism & inspiration through the streets of Elkton with chalk! Free chalk will be provided at Elkton Alliance, 101 E. Main Street or at CCAC.

Interested in Cecil County Arts Council's 2nd Annual 6x6 Canvas show this year? Stop by the gallery during our regular business hours and pick up a canvas. Create it as you wish, sign it on the back and bring it back
to us by September 5th.
The unveiling will be Friday, October 6, 5:00 p.m.
The cost to purchase a finished canvas is $20.00 and the name of the artist will be on the back!

Join the poets every first and third Tuesday of the month. Entertaining and always clever, these "word wizards" are worth a listen. Lunchlines meets at noon in the bright, cheery gallery for about an hour. Bring your lunch and enjoy! All ages are welcome and participation is free for all CCAC members.
Artists In Action
Bring your supplies and join artists in the gallery to paint, draw, or sculpt the day away. Beginners and professionals meet to work on projects, and to share tips and tricks. You never know who will set up in the gallery! All ages and skill levels are welcome. Always FREE, come in every Wednesday from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm and spend the day with the CCAC.

The Cecil County Arts Council is open Monday through Friday, 10 am-4 pm, and the first Saturday from 10 am-2 pm (unless closed due to holiday). The Arts Council acts as a clearinghouse for information on the arts in Cecil County. Now in its 40th year, the Arts Council is a non-profit organization, dedicated to “presenting, promoting and sustaining the arts in Cecil County”.
Supported by funding from the state, county, individual contributions, and sponsorship, the Arts Council is also a membership organization! We would love to include you as a member of this wonderful group of people!
At venues all throughout Cecil County, the Arts Council provides opportunities for the residents of our community to experience art events such as free concerts along the waterfront, exhibitions, workshops, classes and much more!
The Arts Council also provides grant and scholarship opportunities to community residents, organizations and schools. Each year, the Arts Council offers over $34,000 in sub-grants and scholarships to applicants.
